Organizations around the world have had to take a hard time due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Since then, people have revolutionized the way they shop. In-store purchases, at this stage, are a trend towards which people are getting increasingly inclined.

But even though there has been a shift towards online strategy-based marketing, it is worth recollecting that the shift to digital marketing shift is in fact nothing new. 
The revolution has already taken place, but what is worth noticing is the sheer pace with which it is proceeding. 

Some of the strategies are growing in terms of popularity although they are not that recent. 

In-email purchases: Basically, email marketing has been around for ages, it has always involved adding links to the body of the email that direct readers to an article on a product page or a landing page. E-commerce businesses find mail to be the appropriate medium to learn about customer trends, receive feedback, recommend products and generate sales. This trend will assume a greater scale in the future. 

PWAs: This is a somewhat new digital marketing trend. PWA began in 2018 and was initiated into the field by big companies like Twitter, The Financial Times, Flipkart, Wikipedia with excellent results. Treebo too launched a PWA and witnessed a 4x increase in conversion rate year-over-year. Regular users' conversion rates were 3 times. Petlove's PWA resulted in a 2.8-time increase in conversion and a 2.8 times increase in website time. This option could now start to become lucrative for small businesses as well. As far as reliability is concerned, a web app is only as reliable as its network connection. If you have an unreliable connection, the PWA might also run in a slow pace. If the connection is swift, the PWA will perform very smoothly. A reliable and fast PWA will be able to engage users. It carries out this task by responding efficiently and to requests quickly. 

Virtual reality: Virtual reality is the utilization of computers to create simulated environments. 
Virtual Reality permits you to experience and interact with a 3D world that is not real by installing head-mounted device for display. The device creates an immersive and almost 3D virtual world by receiving input from the computer. The engaging potential of virtual reality makes it a powerful tool for learning as well as for entertainment. If used with care, it can help develop a range of skills and talents.  YouTube VR is a standalone application optimized for VR.
We already know what YouTube is.  With the help of YouTube VR, one can choose to view any video with an immersive VR experience. 

Artificial intelligence: As many as two-fifths of digital marketers believe they are not very good at segmentation for digital experiences. Basically, most of the segmentations assume that people prefer one over another. 
However, it is very difficult to track these preferences. 

 Voice search: When you use voice search, a query usually receives an immediate response without her bothering to scroll through the various options available on the screen. It will therefore not be enough to be on the first of a result of search or even to be one of the first announcements. 

Chatbots: Chatbots allow brands to engage in conversations with customers to build better customer relationships and generate sales. Companies have discovered the ease and effectiveness of when it comes to consumer products. 
As far as chatbots are concerned, as many as 80% of sales and marketing leaders are of the opinion that they already used these in their customer experience methods or planned to do so by the early 2020s. Recent research carried out by a prominent firm found that 15% of companies who are ahead in their use of technology and data intelligence had experienced quicker growth than their rivals and are in a much better position for the future. 

Conversational Marketing: Conversational marketing is extremely effective and this is going to be a decisively influential aspect of digital marketing in the future. It allows for a time-bound and result-oriented conversation with the customer which leads to greater conversion of leads into sales. Chatbots allow businesses to converse with several customers at once at a low cost. It helps brands build relationships with as many customers as possible in a short span of time by speeding up the process of addressing issues and doubts on part of the customer.

Personalization: Through deep learning and vision AI can also process massive amounts of data. In the case of both Google Play Store as well as the Apple Store, the app space is basically overcrowded. In 2019, it was reported that the number of apps on the Play Store and the Apple App Store was in the vicinity of three million and that on the apple app store was around 2 million. AI-enabled apps will, in fact, increase app performance. Nowadays most app developers consider Artificial Intelligence to be an essential component as far as app development is concerned.
